Koreans used to have strong stereotype forward to what they are entertaining. For the people who has this kinds of fixed idea think that people who entertaining with comics or games (both consol game and computer game) are immature.
Well, if someone talk like that, they are probably older generation. Now, the fixed idea have been broken at least the view toward game.
Japanese portable console, which was launched in Korea in January 2007, sold 1,000,000 consoles as of 27th of December 2007. They release 41 game titles and sold 2,200,000 copies. Especially, there are five game titles that have sold more than 100,000 units. “Brain Training Game” has sold more than 200,000. Nintendo and these game titles has helped expand the game population by age and gender.

It is remarkable performance compare with their one of the strongest rival Sony play station. Even though they have brand awareness from home applicants, they took three years to achieve 1,000,000 cumulative numbers of sales but Nintendo made it just after one year after enter the market.

SWOT analysis of Nintendo

So my recommendation to keep their capitalization of Nintendo, they need to develop anti-hacking solution to prevent using R4 and try to save cost for title localization. It will hinder on introducing new game and give a tension for sales. Also it will effect on reduce illegal software market. Because some people buy R4 just because they can’t wait until it translated and released on Korea game market.
