How to treat and build a strategy against climate change will decide company performance even in the same industry.

He introduced cases of company in Europe which has strict climate bill in law. In the case, there are some companies shows 30% of earning rate difference in the same industry because investment trust companies like JP Morgan already make JENI-Carbon BETA Index which provide information of greenhouse gases and use it as a bond index and countries which need a obligates of carbon emit reduction are consider of it.
However, policy against climate change of companies in Korea is passive and easeful because they though we are not in the annex where countries have obligate carbon reduction rate.
Carbon information index has demanded by 8 domestic financial agencies this year. It is twice of last year. But only 10 of 28 companies (35.7%) answered survey for climate change and issues about carbon information index.
In world wide, more than 3000 companies demanded Carbon information index and 50 domestic companies are on the list. CDP survey (CDP Korea Report) will be analyzed and issued until early October.
Lim referenced that the CDP Korea Report will be applied by financial farm so they can get a good evaluation result if they could represent their effort and strategy properly.
Chun-Seung Yang, executive director of KoSIF (Korea sustainability investing forum) emphasized that there are several cases of discrimination on international financial market because domestic firms did not prepared strategy against climate change.
Response CDP survey will be a good method to learn how they could build their own strategy toward climate change and inform to the world financial market.

In the near future, when investment trust agencies measures trust grade of companies, counterplan against greenhouse gases will be important evaluation method.
It means if domestic company are not ready to develop proper program and strategy, they will face a financial difficulty.
Now Korea government and companies looking for growth engine which could lift up Korea’s economy. However, our industry structure is still in old resource use up style. In my opinion, every industry under this old paradigm industry system is already drawn into the Red Ocean no matter how we try (and we have fatal neighborhood – China) it is hard to find out new engine.
The situation now we have (or might have in the near future like financial difficulty as we read from the article) is the last scene of old paradigm called modern industry. If you do some research on climate change and get some information we could easily figure out that it is not a trend. Now we are facing a new paradigm which is taking every place in world wide. If we could adapt to this whole new world we could achieve our goal and get a great opportunity. For this, we should not satisfy with developing a reducing greenhouse gases technology. We need innovation for the long term goal and develop our creativity not only in the technology area but also point of view toward creates new markets and industries.
